Sexuality

Our culture loves sex. There is no hiding it. Yet, while this is true, we tend to judge many based upon small nuances within the field of sexuality. Now, sexuality is an interesting thing. While completely personal, we have allowed it to become public-based matters, thus allowing the community of the world to define what is and isn't right. As well, it has created divisions between many different kinds of people, regardless of anything. And this permeates through society and the ridged beliefs of some cast negative views upon others. Sadly, we see this as a very common form of prejudice; in fact, many of differing sexual orientations, such as gays, lesbians, and bisexuals, are considered minority groups and treated as such. It is these views that have deeply embedded themselves within society, thus asking many questions about current issues in these fields of sexuality. All of which, these fields are shaped by human society and culture, as well as the popular opinion on such groups at the time.

In all honesty, I chose this chapter because I believe that orientation rights are one of the most growing concerns this day; furthermore, I also believe that the lack of major support and heavy restriction upon such orientations is causing strong ethical devaluation. While these people are normal humans, many have simply condemned them and made them become less than human. Yet slowly, we are becoming more tolerant of these groups and rightfully so. It is wonderful to see how we are becoming rational about these humans and allowing them equal, just rights. There are other associated issues with sexuality, too. Such issues, like pre-marital sex and abstention are also very important in today's social climate. And because of these, we can truly define who we are as society, and rightfully create equality throughout.

Below is a chart showing the predicted years in which states will vote AGAINST a ban on gay marriage and all of its associations. Luckily, most states will seem to allow it in the near future.
